Du Cane Court’s elegant building of the 1930’s situated in Balham [London] is Europe’s largest privately owned purpose built estate block housing over 600 units. Interested in capturing the atmosphere and personality of the estate block and those who resided within the estates often similar or identically structured interiors. Forming a large document that explored social and living conditions in and around this building over a two year period and expressions of the tenants personal environments. 

The majority of this body of work was shot on a panoramic camera capable of capturing the small interiors, sourced from a flea market in Thessaloniki, Greece. A Russian made panoramic camera that offers a unique quality of delicately scratching the negatives. With a small amount being shot in black and white on a 4×5 camera.
